Bible Studies

At Zion, we emphasize the study of the Scriptures because the Holy Spirit gives us faith and wisdom through the Word of God. No matter what your life looks like right now, there is a Bible Study for you.

Faith Foundations

In conjunction with our Sunday School program, we offer a Bible Study on Sunday mornings for adults. This is generally a topical Bible Study taught by the pastor or vicar, and the topics rotate several times each year. Faith Foundations meets from September through April.

The Lutheran Difference

This group studies the Bible and the teachings of various denominations to learn how Lutherans differ from other Christians, with a particular emphasis on the Scriptural foundation of why Lutherans believe what they believe. These studies are led by the pastor or vicar and meet for several sessions per year. Check out the Events page to see when the next session begins!

Start your day in a verse-by-verse study of the Bible, one book at a time. Bring your own coffee or enjoy some of ours! These studies are taught by the vicar and pastor. Whether you are new to reading the Bible or very familiar with it, you will grow through this more intensive study of Scripture.

COFFEE Bible Study

Gather with our fun and energetic group of women to study a variety of Biblical topics as well as to enjoy fellowship and of course, coffee! COFFEE stands for Christ Offers Forgiveness For Everyone Everyday. This Bible study is lay-led.

Can’t make any of these studies work with your schedule or want to learn more on your own? Check out The Lutheran Institute of Theology. This new digital platform offers courses that are dynamic and faithful, allowing you to expand your knowledge of Scripture and the Lutheran tradition. Each course is led by a respected Lutheran professor, scholar, or pastor.
