Covid Updates
Education Programs
To comply with the City of Mitchell’s mask order, face coverings will be required for all Sunday school teachers and children over the age of 5 beginning Sunday, Nov 22. Since the students are already doing this for their regular school attendance it is expected that they will wear their own masks, in case they are forgotten, a mask will be provided. In addition our Board of Elders and Board of Education felt it was best to cancel our children’s Christmas program this year.
For Midweek & Confirmation classes on Wednesday evenings face coverings are not required as there is room to be appropriately spaced but you are certainly welcome to wear one. The Confirmation classes will be meeting in the sanctuary beginning Wednesday, Nov 18 to help ensure adequate spacing.
Worship Services
To comply with the City of Mitchell’s mask order, face covering are requested when entering and exiting the building for worship services unless you can maintain a distance of 6 feet from others. Children under the age of 5 and individuals who have a medical condition are exempt from this requirement.
When you enter, please take a bulletin and find an open seat in one of the designated pews. Because the pews that are available for seating are more than six feet apart, once you are in your pew, you may remove your mask, or keep it on if you wish.
When coming forward for communion, please maintain six feet of separation from the person in front of you if they are not in your family group and walk down the center of the aisle to maintain distance from other worshippers. The ushers, pastor, and elder will wear a face covering when distributing the Lord’s Supper.
Zion’s Children Sharing the Christmas Message!

We may have had to cancel our Children’s Christmas Program this year, but that didn’t stop the children from wanting to share the Good News of Jesus with you all!
Here’s a link to their Christmas video – Children’s Christmas.
Sunday Services
We currently have two Divine Services per week, Sundays at 8am and at 10:30am as well as a Matins service on Wednesday mornings at 9am. In order to comply with the City of Mitchell’s mask order please wear a mask upon entering the building. See the note above for further explanation.
Wednesday Matins Services
We also offer a Matins service on Wednesdays at 9am with plenty of social distancing possible. Due to the spacing available, masks are not required at the Matins service at this time but are optional. Members wishing to receive Communion are invited to stay after Matins for a short Communion service.

We will continue to livestream our 8 am Sunday service and 9 am Wednesday Matins service for those not able to attend at this time. You can see them on our YouTube channel here.
We also have a call in number, 1-888-848-4896 available for those wishing to listen by phone.
