Zion Lutheran Church, in accordance with The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod (LCMS) guidelines, practices closed communion. We welcome all those confirmed members of the LCMS to participate in communion.
Any others wishing to participate are asked to please speak with one of the pastors in their office prior to requesting communion.
The Lord’s Supper is a confession of the faith which is confessed at this altar (Acts 2:42, 1 Corinthians 10:14-22).
In the Lord’s Supper our Lord gives us not only bread and wine but His very body and blood to eat and drink for the forgiveness of sins and the strengthening of faith (Matthew 26:26-29).
Those who eat and drink our Lord’s body and blood unworthily do so to their own great harm (1 Corinthians 11:17-34).
